Centurii-chan - ive seen in some Viking martial arts that their shields were soft enought to be penetrated so the enemies swords would get stuck

I mean… katanas were used precisely because few people in those times used shields, no ? Even armor was lightweight on purpose for ease of movement (and mostly because steel was rare).
