Lady Gaga's Drag Queen refers to a viral video uploaded on TikTok by the Brazilian drag queen Penelopy Jean in which she is confused for the real Lady Gaga during the Miami concert of the Chromatica Ball tour on September 17th, 2022. The video shows fans surrounding the drag queen with eagerness and even a security guard helping her walk out of the venue, unaware she's not actually Lady Gaga. Penelopy Jean and the video gained notoriety shortly after when the videos of her being surrounded by fans at the venue went viral.
Origin
On September 17th, 2022 the American pop singer Lady Gaga[1] was performing her Chromatica Ball concert at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, FL, but the show was canceled prematurely due to a thunderstorm. As the crowd walked out of the venue, some fans thought they spotted the singer herself weaving through the people. It was actually the Brazilian drag queen Penelopy Jean walking out of the stadium along with the other fans, as she explains in this TikTok[2] video posted on September 18th, 2022 (seen below).

Less than two days after Penelopy Jean posted the video about being confused with Lady Gaga at the concert, her post reached 13 million views and 2 million likes, with fans and other meme pages sharing the content. The singer's fan account @thegagasource_[3] uploaded the same video on Twitter[4] on September 18th, 2022, with the caption about how the security guard really thought it was Gaga. The tweet reached 5 million views and 177,000 likes in two days (seen below, left).
Fans that went to the concert recorded other perspectives of the drag queen leaving the stadium while the crowd was confused, like this post from @noelforest on Twitter[6] on September 18th, 2022. The post has 67,300 views and 1,600 likes in two days (seen below, right).
