What Is The 'Soft Brisket' Song?

In early June 2024, TikToker @rat.traphouse posted a video sharing an original song parody of the song "Soft Kitty," which appears in The Big Bang Theory and Young Sheldon. In the video, he asks if the song might be the "song of the summer," proclaims himself as George Cooper, Sheldon Cooper's dad, then serenades viewers with a song about brisket.

The song is both a parody of "Soft Kitty" and a reference to George Cooper's love of his mother's brisket. She is mostly referred to as "Meemaw." The song, sung in a child-like voice, turned out to be a hit, propelling the video to over 2.5 million views in just under a month and inspiring tons of memes, parodies and more.

What Does 'Soft Brisket" Have To Do With 'Mama Owl?'

Mama Owl, or Mathmanx, is a popular TikToker with over 2 million followers. She's most known for her skit videos, in which she re-enacts traumatic and dramatic incidents. Most of these incidents are submissions from teachers and relate to students and teachers. Mama Owl's content isn't exactly everyone's cup of tea and recently, she's become the subject of criticism after a video where she re-enacts the assault of a trans student resurfaced.

Then, she went live on TikTok and blocked a few people for spamming her chat with the lyrics to the "Brisket Song." She made a video mentioning this as the main incident leading to the hate-train against her, which has now only inspired people to troll her with the song. This includes a version of the "Brisket Song" in which a TikToker uses AI to make it sound like she's singing the song.
