About

Girl Harmonizing With a Fan refers to a TikTok sound from a video posted by TikToker Claire Boyer (@claireboyermusic) in which she "decided to harmonize with my kitchen fan while making dinner." The viral video's audio was used by many creators on the app going into 2024. Many people thought that the sound was emotional and beautiful, reiterating in their videos that the sound perfectly encapsulated the feeling of grief or sadness, among other emotions. The video became a Sad Photo Slideshow Audio, used in photo slideshows on the app. Many of the videos followed the phrasal template, "It's just a girl harmonizing with a fan. No, it's X," in which "X" was a memory or situation that the girl's harmonizing evoked.
