Fried Fishing Response

Responding to comments on Facebook, the Fried Fishing group defended the video, stating that the response was outsized and claiming that police had been called on him. They wrote, "I just want to say thanks to the bunch of sooks who have complained to the point of the police visiting. Honestly, I quit. [The shark was] caught by my mate when we were fishing for mangrove jacks on Friday. After two nights left in the icebox, I came up with the idea. There is no possible way it was alive." The group also denied that the man in the video was smoking cannabis through the shark. "It was tobacco I’d happily take a drug test to prove."[4]

Media Coverage

Several media outlets covered the video including The Daily Mail,[1] The Washington Post,[5] Forbes,[6] The New York Post,[7] The Daily Dot [8] and more.
