Footbal/Soccer fans, you're going to laugh at me for being ignorant, but I need help identifying who these players are, what teams they play for, and when this happened.

All I know is that this image has been floating around since at least 2001; I saw it in an All Your Base flash, and a lot of image macros. It's also the first Google Image result for "soccer player kicked in the balls."

i've narrowed down the uniform kit to Floriana FC., a maltese club. but time period or player name unknown!

This has been around for ever, so it might be hard to find out, but there is gotta be some information.

So the other one has to be either from another german club or I guess from another 90s european top team, maybe this was a champions league game.
Find out in which year they wore this trikot, then you can find out in which league they played. then you'll be on track finding the other trikot / club.

ok, I identified the two clubs and trikots. This picture must be from a match "SV Werder Bremen" vs. "FC Bayern München", German Bundesliga match season 1994/1995.

More Info:
- This was a 1. Bundesliga (German Football League) Match in Season 1994/1995
- There were NO CASUALTIES
- Saidly"officially" there is no better image quality around
- The club with the culprit player, Bayer 05 Uerdingen, lost it's "class" and left the 1. Bundesliga after that season
