Unlike the PPG reboot, the Samurai Jack revival does have the original creator's involvement (Gennedy Tartakovsky, who also made Dexter's Lab and the 2003 Clone Wars cartoon, though for the past half a decade the main thing he was doing was directing the two Hotel Transylvania movies for Sony Pictures Animation). Plus it's on Toonami, and action cartoons do better there than they do on regular CN.
