Shut the Fuck Up, Please Shut the Fuck Up refers to a popular reaction image which is a recaptioned version of the "I Can't. Not Again. I'm… Not Strong Enough" meme. Featuring a two-panel image of The Incredibles character Mr. Incredible, the image gained significant popularity as a reaction on Twitter, Tumblr, iFunny and other online platforms starting in September 2019, often used to express irritation with a post or a cultural phenomenon.

"Shut the Fuck Up, Please Shut the Fuck Up" is a recaptioned version of "I Can't. Not Again. I'm… Not Strong Enough" reaction image which gained spread following a January 19th, 2013, post by Tumblr^[1] user mydollyaviana. While the author of the recaptioned image is unknown, the earliest known post based on it was made by Redditor^[2] sammyTF_ on September 8th, 2019 (image and post shown below, left and right).

Spread

Starting in late September 2019, the image saw notable spread as a reaction on Twitter and Tumblr. For example, a September 28th, 2019, tweet by Twitter^[3] user @ZoZoZoZiZiZi received over 680 likes in six months (shown below, left). On October 2nd, Redditor^[10] FroggyRibbits posted the image to /r/okbuddyretard subreddit. An October 4th, 2019, post by Tumblr^[4] user saeraas received over 60 likes and reblogs in the same period (shown below, right). A double-recaptioned meme posted by Tumblr^[5] user peer2peer2peer on October 7th, 2019, received over 280 likes and reblogs.

On October 18th, 2019, iFunny^[6] user Symphony posted a cropped version of the reaction image that received over 9,300 smiles in six months, often being used on the app as a reaction image in comments to various posts.

Starting in November 2019, the image and its remade versions gained popularity in reaction memes on iFunny, Reddit and Instagram. For example, a November 8th, 2019, post by iFunny^[7] user FelixArgyle_ received over 3,700 smiles in five months (shown below, left). A same-day post by Redditor^[8] kaleb270 gained over 14,900 upvotes in /r/meme (shown below, center). A November 13th, 2019, meme by Instagram^[9] user humanity.gone24 received over 5,900 likes (shown below, right).
