About

Nikal Lavde, also known as Nikal Laude or Nikal Lawde, is a reaction image and catchphrase coined by YouTuber Vikas Fhatak, aka Hindustani Bhau in early June, 2022. The video features him sitting in a car and gesturing emphatically while saying the iconic line "Nikal laude, pehli fursat mein nikal," which means "Leave dickhead, leave at the first opportunity." The video quickly spawned a host of memes that used screenshots from Bhau's video as a way to react to various issues.

Origin

Hindustani Bhau is an Mumbai based influencer known for his often profane style of car vlogging. The clip "Nikal Laude, pehli fursat mein nikal" is part of a reaction video Bhau made in early June 2019 from a now suspended YouTube account. The video was in response to Indian lyricist and poet Javed Akhtar's controversial statement about leaving India if Pakistani artists are boycotted. The video quickly gained virality, with the first instance of it being used as a reaction video appearing on June 13th, 2019 on the YouTube[1] channel HUNTERRR SHORTS. The video features a clip of Thanos from the movie Avengers: Endgame, with Hindustani Bhau replacing the role of Tony Stark. The video accrued over 90,000 views and 1,500 likes in 3 years.

On June 14th, 2019, The Facebook[2] page ShitIndiansSay posted an image titled, "Sarfaraz gets clean bowled. Bhau: Nikal laude , pehli fursat me nikal." The caption is in reference to the accompanying screenshot of a tweet by Hindustani Bhau, where he expresses his interest in being a cricket commentator. The post received over 2000 reactions (seen below).

Spread

The meme continued to gain viral traction for the rest of 2019, with multiple Facebook posts using the reaction image gaining several thousand reactions apiece. The Facebook[3] page Terribly Dank Tales used the catchphrase in a post made on June 22nd, (below, left) and the Facebook page All India Memes[4] used the screencap as a reaction image in a post made on September 11th, 2019 (below, right). The posts received over 8,000 and 5,000 reactions respectively.

On June 23rd, 2019, the Instagram[5] page @litmemespune posted a meme using the reaction image and accrued approximately 4000 likes.
