"New Kids On The Block Cartoon Dance" refers to a GIF of two characters from the New Kids On The Block cartoon dancing in an alley in a strange manner. The strange way the characters dance has led to replacements with other characters, and has also led to the meme being associated with LOL White People.
Origin
The GIF originates from the New Kids On The Block cartoon 1990 episode "In Step, Outta Time." In the scene the characters break into dance in an alley, and the dance is shown for a few moments.
Spread
The first known use of the GIF is on a YTMND entitled "White People!! YAY!!!"[2] The YTMND was posted October 1st, 2005 and as of February 2016 has gained over 12,000 views.
The GIF was later parodied in the Gravity Falls episode "Dreamscaperers." In the episode the characters Xyler and Craz, preform the dance.
