"I Like the Way You Kiss Me" is a 2024 darkwave song by British producer Artemas. Released in March 2024, the song achieved virality on TikTok in the following months as it was used in various fancams, thirst traps and other videos.


On March 7th, 2024, British music producer Artemas teased his upcoming single "I Like the Way You Miss Me," posting the song to their TikTok[1][2] accounts @artemasfan and @artemasalt. The uploads gained over 1.6 million views and 112,000 likes, respectively, in two months (shown below).

The teaser version of the song achieved significant popularity on TikTok with over 104,000 videos using the sound uploaded on the platform within two months.[3]

On March 19th, Artemas released the full version of the song (video[4] shown below, left). On April 12th, a music video for the song premiered on Artemas' YouTube[5] channel (shown below, right). The uploads gained over 21.3 million views and 19.2 million views on YouTube, respectively, in seven weeks. On Spotify,[6] the song accumulated over 366 million streams within the same period.

The song achieved viral popularity on TikTok in early to mid-2024, where it was used in fancams, thirst traps, sigma edits and other videos. For example, on March 16th, 2024, TikTok[7] user @hundred54cm posted a thirst trap video that received over 22.4 million views in two months (shown below, left).

On April 4th, TikTok[8] user @gil_liany posted a video in which she visualized lyrics for the song with rice, with the video garnering over 26 million views and 2.1 million likes in one month (shown below, right).

As of May 6th, 2024, over 2.2 million videos using the song had been uploaded to TikTok.[9] Following TikTok popularity, the song saw further spread online through reposts and original memes using it. For example, on April 5th, X user @sabophobe reposted a TikTok video using the song, with the post gaining over 380 reposts and 3,800 likes in one month (shown below).
