About

Fancam is a video montage consisting of clips of a person or fictional character set to a song and usually featuring visual effects such as filters and transitions. In its original meaning, "fancam" or "fan cam" has been used to describe concert footage of a celebrity, most notably K-pop idols, taken by a fan, with the word adopting the other meaning in early 2020s. Fancams share many similarities with Anime Music Videos, with fancams featuring anime characters often referred to simply as "anime edits."

"SugarCrash!" is a hyperpop song by musician ElyOtto that gained viral popularity on TikTok in February 2021. The song is associated with two meme formats on the app, with the more popular format, a parody of fancams, featuring a CapCut video effect that highlights the climax of the video.
