After First Kiss is an exploitable ship dynamic redraw meme template depicting one person, labeled "A," worrying after experiencing a first kiss with character "B," who is depicted triumphantly yelling "let's fucking go!" The template was posted to X / Twitter in January 2021 and inspired redraws over the following years.

Origin

On January 22nd, 2021, X^[1] user @VioletMadness7 posted a template for a ship dynamic depicting two people, "A" and "B," after having a first kiss, person A worrying and person B celebrating, writing, "Wait this ship dynamic is really important too," garnering over 37,000 likes and 8,600 reposts in three years (shown below).

Spread

The template became the subject of redraws depicting characters from various fandoms in each role over the following years.

On January 27th, 2021, X^[2] user @XoxoMika_213 posted a redraw of the template based on My Hero Academia, garnering over 3,700 likes in three years (shown below, left). It was reposted to /r/IzuOcha^[3] that day, garnering over 600 upvotess. On December 9th, 2022, X^[4] user @AidenLydiaSFW posted a Call of Duty redraw that gained over 5,900 likes in two years (shown below, right).

On March 23rd, 2023, u/perlenYurifan4life posted a redraw of the meme to /r/genshinsapphic^[5] that garnered over 1,700 upvotes in a year. On April 21st, X^[6] user @Saberaa_art posted a version redrawing the characters as Mario and Princess Peach, garnering over 80,000 likes in a year (shown below).

On July 10th, Instagram^[7] user redundant_z posted a version of the meme based on The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, garnering over 38,000 likes in 10 months (shown below).
