Look, I get it. Monopolies are bad, everyone who's ever played the game is supposed to know that. But people are being willfully ignorant as if these kinds of posts are celebrating Disney itself and not the MCU or just Marvel or even comics in general, especially since comics actually have a cultural impact while Avatar is the fucking LaCroix of movies.
And really, does now owning Avatar truly do anything for Disney? It's not like that movie is still bringing in any significant amount of money or prestige these days. People literally only brought it up to gawk at how it somehow became the highest-grossing film at the box office despite having had no real impact or following in the years following its release.
People are missing the point that this is not about "which company beats who", it's about the impact the actual movies had on pop culture; regardless of how you feel about Endgame or the MCU, you have to admit it left way more of a mark than the blue people movie.
