No man is an island,
Entire of itself.
Each is a piece of the continent,
A part of the main.
If a clod be washed away by the sea,
Europe is the less.
As well as if a promontory were.
As well as if a manor of thine own
Or of thine friend's were.
Each man's death diminishes me,
For I am involved in mankind.
Therefore, send not to know
For whom the bell tolls,
It tolls for thee.

Concerning that it took EA this long to add such a vital feature of the two previous games.
Commented on Donald Trump's Hush Money Case Indictment
The complete mockery has already been made, why not wish for it to go the full nine yards?
Commented on Donald Trump's Hush Money Case Indictment
No, from politics, obviously. People are acting like it's the case, when in reality, this has hurt the justice system more than it's hurt him.

That looks like Bombette, not Luvbi.
I initially thought the title read "the Mechanist" and thought, holy shit, Automatron meme?

Tbf there is Fatah, but they have very little influence or control in Gaza.

Goombella is cute, but otherwise I agree

It's 3 to 6, with a total 9 of votes in a forum that only rarely has that many active users
The recurring mistake made when people discuss score is that they assume only people active on the thread or in the comments will vote. Anyone familiar with Reddit or YouTube (or really, any website with "score" or "karma") will know that there's always a lot of lurkers, idly voting but rarely engaging.
In this case, I think CharityClubhouse pissed off a few bored people and they followed him here. As Snakeboat said, he's not exactly liked…

VeteranAdventureHobo, while I agree that this random user is probably someone who was edit warring with this guy, a small dive into his edit history and some of the provided sources suggests that yeah, this isn't exactly an inaccurate description of Generalrelative. Obsessed with race, arbitrarily declares things he disagrees with as "fringe", all that stuff.
That said, this isn't memetic whatsoever, and is a better fit for a gossip site. Could be fun to try and find connections between him and a banned sockmaster account I found during my short dive who had similar activity.

Frankly, a "victory" for either side would be pyrrhic and wrought with harsh, long-term consequences. Ukraine will struggle to recuperate its severe losses, and will be open to another attack by Russia. Joining NATO would certainly mitigate this problem, but losing so many people to war never has good effects on a society. Russia would face similar, but less severe, consequences from its own losses, and would also struggle with occupation; not just in whatever territories it annexes (likely those it already declared it has) but in more tumultuous home regions as well.
In any case, any of these problems would be made considerably worse by their mutual issues of corruption and autocracy.

Huh? This seems like a deep cut, even by "stupid bullshit happening on Wikipedia" standards. That said, this is an interesting look into one specific loser, with antics entirely on brand for that site.

Miura Anjin was an advisor to the shogun, was explicitly considered a samurai, and was granted a fief in Yokosuka. Yasuke was a retainer of Oda Nobunaga. His category of retainer would in the coming decades be considered "samurai", but he dropped off the historical record after Nobunaga was assassinated, and thus may have never been considered one. His presence in the historical record is also much more brief; 18 months compared to Miura's 15 years.
Also, pretty sure there were quite a number of people pitching a fit over a white samurai in Nioh, just from a very, very different crowd.
I suspect their angle is that a semi-obscure one-season show from The Hub probably didn't have enough reach to influence a meaningful number of people into joining a gay subculture that wasn't yet fully mainstream by the time the show ended.
This then raises an interesting question: did anybody get into drag because of this show, while it was still fresh and running?

No, but a random bear is more likely to kill you than a random person.

Funny thing, both here and elsewhere that seems to be the main counter to people calling the design bad/ugly/whatever. No, a design can be nonsexy (or even outright ugly) and still be good, it's just that this isn't one of those cases.
I haven't seen a coherent reason as to why people like this outside of "it angers the people I don't like".
Commented on Hades 2 Hestia Backlash
You're obnoxious about it, but you're right, people are presenting a comparison without giving reasons beyond "this one doesn't look like shit". This is all well and good, but not exactly productive, so here's the straight-and-narrow of how I see it:
Design-wise, neither are particularly faithful or accurate depictions of Hestia. DanMachi Hestia is an anime girl with large boobs in a white dress (like a toga I guess?). Hades 2 Hestia is a mammy stereotype with a hearth for a hat. Besides the latter sucking terribly, there's a more subtle key difference here: DanMachi Hestia isn't overdesigned. She's not minimalistic, but there's not as much shit going on with her, and it appears as if her designer had a clear and concise vision for her design, instead of tacking on random details here and there.
I don't know where to start on trying to fix this trainwreck, but two ideas:
1) Either fully commit to her being a pig person (in allusion to her usual sacrificial animal) or don't even try. Half-assing it just makes for a butt-ugly face.
2) Simplify her dress into having a grille pattern, instead of making them separate design elements. It looks like they tried to compromise between two competing design ideas with her dress and made both look bad.

Honestly, I'm surprised this didn't happen sooner. State-run media from a country that's been actively funding the group you're currently trying to destroy sounds like it'd be more contentious.
Commented on Trump Supporters Wearing Diapers / Real Men Wear Diapers
I've probably said this before, but it really depends on how he dies (and to a lesser extent, when).
Namely, I think things would only go hot if he's assassinated. Old age or illness wouldn't have nearly the same effect (though I wouldn't count out a rowdy protest at his funeral).

What is your bright idea as to how to manage the dissolution of Israel? The way I see it, this can fall into one of two categories:
1. Mass deportation of 7 million Israeli Jews back to wherever their grandparents or great-grandparents used to live. This is what the UNRWA implicitly wants, but it's fucking stupid for too many reasons to describe. By consequence, control of the region would fall to one of the two Palestinian governing organizations. Better hope Fatah wrests control, since they're comparatively tame.
2. Establishment of a neutral "South Levant" state. The majority of this state would still be Jewish, though by only a few hundred thousand people or so. This would run into the same problems faced by Belgium, but much faster and much more bloody; best-case scenario, this new state continuously struggles to form a government, as party lines fall along ethnic ones. In all likelihood, such an experiment would rapidly collapse into a situation very similar to how things are today.
The best option is a two-state solution… but Hamas are the largest single obstacle to this. Fatah wants it, and there are forces within Israel that would be open to such a thing, as long as they aren't negotiating with terrorists who want their heads on pikes.
