He's one dimensional in his devotion to his master. all he does is for someone else.

Ivy, on the other hand, is a central character to the story. Her father, who adopted her, was an alchemist obsessed with Eternal Youth. One day, he found the Soul Edge (the villain) and it killed him. in revenge, she seeks the sword to destroy it. and most times she has a sensible alternate costume like this one.

Voldo's alternate costumes are just as bad as his default. he doesn't have a choice.
