I'd call this bullshit, but that'd be an insult to bullshit. Not only could I not find any evidence that this was real, I could barely find any mention of this anywhere, meaning it can't even be called an urban myth. This picture only appears on a few sites, and none of them include anything indicating it had to do with a 'left-wing politician" (note this specific phrase; any outlandish claim specifically used to attack political opponents is almost certainly false). The OP on 9gag pulled this straight out of his ass.
