I thought Cars 2 was okay when I first watched it, but today I see it as unnecessary. We didn't need international conspiracies, 007 references, and high-gloss action in sentient automobile form in the first place. It's so inconsistent with the first movie that it seems like it's not even an actual sequel, just an animated version of a mediocre fanfiction.
