Then why didn't they just target police stations or government buildings? Why did they vandalize statues at random, burned cars and buildings?

The rioters vandalized cities at random, for months and expected the government to comply with their demands. Their most important attack was on a CNN station and that's ironically a news broadcast that supports them. They could have tried storming capitol, I bet they wish they could have done it, but they didn't. Despite all the money, despite all the support, despite all the cops, national guard, FBI and current elected-president kneeling to them… A bunch of Trump supporters led by a Viking cosplayer took it to an actual government building and then dissappeared in a couple hours. And not just any government building, it was THE government building

Considering I have already seen someone on this site say it's "good" that the female protester shot by cops has died, yes this is demonstrably true.
