Defeating the Ottoman Empire in the 20th century was like bringing the Death Star to a knife fight. It's not even fair to come at them with 10% of your military's strength.
There's also Gallipoli to take into consideration, in which the Ottomans did great against the British and French forces.
They weren't as effective against the Russians and us Italians, but saying that they were weak the way you described them is kind of an insult to those who had lost against them, which doesn't include French and Brits, but also the Greeks, in a bunch of battles
