Personally, I don't entirely agree with that stance. I'm aware that the platforms take money to uphold, and that people don't like spending money to share messages they don't like, but the role of Social Media has changed to a point where I don't feel entirely comfortable with wonton censorship on it
For an example, Google could technically be within its rights to cull all search results relating to criticism of Google, but does that mean that it SHOULD be?
