Where's The Mountain? is a crudely made animated video inspired by the Nickelodeon animated TV series Dora The Explorer and produced using Nintendo's Flip Note application.

Origin

On April 13th, 2010, YouTuber SpaceGuru5 uploaded a video made on Flip Note of the cartoon character Dora the Explorer asking "Where's the Mountain?" They credited the post to Hatena user gangsta1. The post (shown below) received more than 85,000 views.



Spread

On May 13th, YouTuber SpaceGuru5 uploaded a video called "Funny Dora Part 1." The video features a crudely drawn version of the cartoon character Dora the Explorer asking, "Where's the mountain?" Within eight years, the video (shown below, left) received more than 72,000 views.

Later that year, YouTuber faiza302 posted a version in which a stick figure attempts to aggressively point out to the mountain to Dora. The post (shown below, right) received more than 199,000 views in seven years.
