Wakey Wines is the name of a liquor store based in Wakefield, England that went viral on TikTok in November of 2022 for being one of the only places people could purchase an energy drink created by Logan Paul and KSI called Prime. The store's TikTok account grew popular thanks to its owner Mohammed Az Nazir bantering with customers and shouting numerous catchphrases.

Origin

Wakefield Wines is located in Wakefield, England, and is otherwise a regular liquor store. However, it began going viral in the Fall of 2022 when its owner, Mohammed Az Nazir, began posting TikToks with customers. On November 12th, 2022, Nazir posted the channel's earliest extant TikTok, which became the template for the channel. In the video, he asks customers where they came from, and asks them why they came to "Wakey Wines." After the customers answer, the owner shouts "What's the best shop in Wakey?" and they reply "Wakey Wines!" Nazir then says to the man filming the TikTok, Abdul Jabbar, "Abdul come closer, Abdul go back." He then shouts, “Bingo bingo Gala bingo.” The TikTok^[1] gained over 67,000 views in three weeks.

It appears that the channel has posted videos prior to November 12th, as KSI posted a reaction to the store on October 31st.^[4]

Also on November 12th, the Wakey Wines TikTok posted a video showing a man purchasing Prime, a hydration drink from Logan Paul and KSI that has proven difficult to get a hold of due to popular demand (shown below, left). Later, they posted their first TikTok to crack a million views, showing three women purchasing Prime and gaining over 3.4 million views.

The shop began gaining media attention as it grew popular on TikTok, earning coverage from The Guardian^[2] and The Tab,^[3] both of whom compared the shop's viral fame to Binley Mega Chippy. They also noted that the shop is vastly overcharging for Prime, which retails at 2 pounds in the English chain store Asda. On October 31st, KSI posted a video reacting to Wakey Wines, expressing shock that the store was apparently selling Prime for 20 pounds a bottle (shown below).
