Origin
The Bible makes frequent references to greed, as seen in Proverbs 15:27, "Whoever is greedy for unjust gain troubles his own household, but he who hates bribes will live," and in Proverbs 28:25, "A greedy man stirs up strife, but the one who trusts in the Lord will be enriched."[1]
On June 3rd, 2013, X[2] user @I_Wendleton posted a tweet that read, "This is the definition of greed that the Bible talks about."

On October 11th, 2021, X[3] user @md2588 posted an anecdote about how rapper A$AP Rocky once picked up every woman from the club and left with them, describing his actions as "It was the type of greed they warned us about in the bible."
