Origin

Twitter user @PANP4S captured the moment and posted it to Twitter, where other users began to use the image along with their own captions, many of which compared George to a schoolteacher. Finding this humorous, many began to post the image with stereotypical phrases a teacher might use in the classroom, such as "You can pick your phone up from the office at the end of the day" and "Is there something you'd like to share with the rest of the class?". Some users even began to photoshop the image and post the edited versions.

Due to the nature of Twitter's algorithm, this image spread quickly throughout the Minecraft Youtuber fanbase, eventually reaching the content creators themselves; Nathan Smoke, streamer, even posted two tweets with this image and his own written captions.

Teacher George has become a popular reaction image since it's creation, due to its wide availability of uses and captions that could be paired with it.
