On December 17th, 2023, TikTok^[1] user @bluweesh posted a slideshow of AI-generated images of people wearing extremely oversized boots at a supermarket. The video (shown below) received over 80,000 views and 5,500 likes in two months.

On December 27th, 2023, @bluweesh posted an AI-generated video consisting of multiple clips of people wearing oversized boots getting fined by police officers, paired with AI-voiced dialogue between the policemen and the detained. The video (shown below) received over 2.4 million views and 202,000 likes on TikTok^[2] in one month.

Several of the videos went viral: for example, on January 12th, @bluweesh posted a TikTok^[3] that garnered over 4.2 million views and 642,000 views in one month (shown below, left). On January 22nd, 2023, @bluweesh posted a video that received over 5.8 million views and 801,000 likes on TikTok^[4] in two weeks (shown below).
