One More Lane Bro also known as One More Lane Will Fix It refers to a catchphrase used to denounce public infrastructure policies that prioritize low-impact highway expansions over public transport expansions. The line "one more lane will fix it" was first used on Twitter to react to news footage of bumper to bumper traffic in Los Angeles over Thanksgiving weekend, 2019. The quote subsequently evolved into a variation of the Bro Please Bro, Just Try It snowclone.

On November 21st, 2017, news agency ABC News[1] tweeted a video with the caption, "Aerial footage shows bumper-to-bumper traffic in Los Angeles as Americans get a head start on Thanksgiving travel." The video showed miles of traffic going both ways along a 6-lane wide highway in Los Angeles, California (seen below). The video received over 20 million views, and the tweet received over 80,000 likes and 45,000 retweets in five years.

On November 19th, 2019, the Twitter[2] account @urbanthoughts11 tweeted the same video of Los Angeles traffic with the caption, "1970: One more lane will fix it.1980: One more lane will fix it.1990: One more lane will fix it.2000: One more lane will fix it.2010: One more lane will fix it. 2020: ?" The tweet received over 230,000 likes and over 80,000 retweets in three years (seen below)

On August 12th, 2021, Instagram[3] user @queyano posted a video of a Hasan Piker stream where he says "What a liar dude, what a weasely little liar." The original video is from a stream where Hasan reacts to a video by streamer Steven "Destiny" Bonnell. The Instagram post in question replaces Destiny with a YouTube thumbnail that reads "The Simple Genius Of The Interstate Highway System." The caption read "bro just one more lane bro, bro I swear just one more lane and it'll fix the traffic bro," and the post received 146 likes and 700 views (seen below).

pls give me a train or a bus. I have too much anxiety to drive but I don't want to be stuck at home all day and rely only on family members to transport me. I don't want to have to get an uber every time I want to go out.
