Number One Bullshit Guy is a viral video of a man complaining about the slow speed during a traffic jam on a highway calling a police car the "number one bullshit guy" for using their siren and lights while maneuvering more quickly around other drivers. The catchphrase and soundbite of the man's quote became the subject of parodies, remixes and skits on TikTok and YouTube in April 2021, spreading over the following years.

Origin

The earliest known post of the "Number One Bullshit Guy" video was uploaded on TikTok[1] by user @tariqtalk on April 17th, 2021. The video (seen below) shows a man driving on a highway somewhere in Ontario, Canada filming a cop car while complaining about being stuck in slow traffic, calling the officer a "number one bullshit guy" for using its siren and moving more quickly in another lane. The video amassed over 1.6 million plays and 160,000 likes in three years.

Later in 2021, @tariqtalk's video became a viral sound on TikTok in which people used the catchphrase "number one bullshit guy" to share dashcam videos of the moment a police car is nearby or asking the driver to pull over. For example, on November 4th, 2021, TikTok[2] user @joelpatrick_ posted a dash cam video showing the moment a police car appeared behind his car (seen below, left), which amassed over 4 million plays and 535,000 likes in three years.

On September 30th, TikTok[3] user @93mr2turbo posted a dashcam video of his car being pulled over (seen below, right) paired with the "number one bullshit guy" sound, which received roughly 474,000 plays and 35,000 likes in three years.

On January 27th, 2024, a music video titled "No.1 Bullshit Guy" referencing the meme was posted on YouTube[4] as part of the soundtrack for the movie BABU (NO. 1 BULLSHIT GUY). The video (shown below) amassed more than 1.7 million views and 2,300 likes in five months.
