About

My Money Don’t Jiggle Jiggle, It Folds refers to a viral TikTok song that uses audio from a Louis Theroux interview posted to YouTube in early 2022. In the interview, he proved that he used to rap by performing the lyrics. Musicians on TikTok then remixed his lyrics into a hip-hop sound that was exploited by users on the platform. A dance trend became associated with the sound and many wholesome videos of pets were made using it.

Origin

On February 18th, 2022, British documentary filmmaker Louis Theroux was featured on the Chicken Shop Date web series and interviewed by its host Amelia Dimoldenberg. The roughly five-minute interview was uploaded to YouTube on the same day, where over the course of two months, it received roughly 2.8 million views (shown below). At the 2:14-minute mark, Dimoldenberg insists that Theroux can rap. This prompted him to prove it.

Additionally, the lyrics Theroux rapped were originally written by him in October 2000 within episode 17 of his Weird Weekends docuseries titled, "Gangsta Rap." In the episode, released on October 30th, Theroux traveled to the American South and worked with rappers like Reece and Bigelow to write a song for him to perform on a rap radio show.[1] The episode is available to watch on Dailymotion.[2] At the 27:30-minute mark, Theroux, Reece and Bigelow are writing his lyrics.

On March 16th, 2022, the TikTok[3] account dukeandjones, adminned by musicians Duke & Jones, used the segment from the Theroux video to make a remix with it, adding in a hip-hop beat and autotune. Over the course of one month, the video received roughly 27.7 million plays and 4 million likes (shown below).

My money don’t jiggle jiggle, it folds.
I like to see you wiggle wiggle, for sure.
It makes me wanna dribble dribble, you know.
Riding in my Fiat, you really have to see it.
Six feet, two in a compact, no slack, but luckily the seats go back.
I got a knack to relax in my mind.
Sippin' sippin' on red wiiiine… Nice!
