Lois Running From Burning Plane, also known as Lois Tomb Raider Mod refers to a viral video of a low-poly Lois Griffin from the animated TV sitcom Family Guy running away from a burning plane that crashes behind her as she screams "Peter!" The video originates from a fan-made mod of the 2013 Lara Croft Tomb Raider game. People began sharing the video on Twitter in February 2023, often with the phrasal templates "how it feels to X" or "me when X" in video and GIF caption memes.

Origin

On March 5th, 2013, Crystal Dynamics released the game Tomb Raider for Windows, PS3 and Xbox 360. The game contained a scene in which the protagonist Lara Croft runs away from a flaming plane that crashes into the ground behind her (seen below).^[1]

On February 9th, 2023, Twitter^[2] user and game developer @gunsgoldcontrol posted a video showing Lois Griffin from Family Guy running the place of Lara Croft in the aforementioned scene. The video also contained a voice-over of Lois screaming "PETAAAH." The tweet gathered over 19,000 likes and 12 million views in nearly 10 days (seen below).

The aforementioned video was retweeted by various Twitter users, with the first viral use emerging from a February 10th, 2023, tweet^[3] by @RlCKYRAGE, which read, "how my mom got to school when she was a kid." The post gathered over 88,000 likes in roughly a week (seen below).
