For Every Kill You Get, I'll Give You an UwU is a viral video of a Valorant e-girl promising to say "uwu" in voice chat to reward and stimulate a male player. Uploaded in September 2022 by an e-girl hire service, the video became a subject of parodies, with users replacing "uwu" with other sound effects.

Origin

On July 18th and 20th, e-girl hire service E-pal posted two TikToks[1][2] and YouTube[3] shorts in which e-girls promised to say "ara ara" every time a Valorant player scored a kill to stimulate and support him. The TikTok uploads received 6.5 million views and 524,000 likes and 2.8 million and 202,000 likes in one year.

On September 12th, 2023, E-Pal posted another similar TikTok (since removed) and YouTube[4] short in which an e-girl said "uwu" in voice chat when another player got a kill in a Valorant match. The upload (shown below) received over 130,000 views on YouTube in one year.



Spread

On September 12th, 2022, X[5] user @ricesooo reuploaded the video to the platform, commenting, "if I had to watch this then everyone has to." The post received over 810 reposts and 3,100 likes in one year (shown below), with more reposts on Twitter and Instagram in the following days.

On September 18th and October 18th, TikTokers[6][7] @jerx and @blob.val both posted parodies of the video, gaining over 23,000 likes and 79,300 likes in one year, respectively (shown below, left and right).

On October 18th, YouTube[8] user A random person on the internet posted the earliest found meme that replaced the "uwus" in the video with another sound effect, Roblox Baller. The post (shown below, left) received over 14,000 views in one year. On October 23rd, YouTuber[9] ThottiYT posted a version in which the "uwus" were replaced with Vine Booms. The upload (shown below, right) garnered over 50,000 views in one year.



The replacement format saw more use in late 2022, with some versions also posted through 2023.

On August 1th, 2023, X[10] user @renyanFPS used the clip in a meme comparing Valorant and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive that found over one million views, 2,800 reposts and 19,600 likes in one month (shown below).
