Bitches Be Like I- I- You- Wow I- refers to a copypasta in which a person reprimands a woman for using the rhetorical retort "I- I- You- Wow I-," demanding that she clarifies it further. A slang misinterpretation meme, the format stems from a viral reaction image based on a 3D render of 2pac and gained further spread in the form of dubbed memes read from the point of various characters.

Origin

While the author of the original meme is unknown, it first gained viral spread as a part of Slang Misinterpretation trend in early May 2020, gaining popularity on Twitter as a reaction image. The earliest found posts containing the original meme, based on a 3D render of rapper 2pac by Brazilian artist Gustavo Soares,[1] were made by Twitter[2] user @onlyfanobtainer and iFunny[3] user tiomothyhanos on May 5th, 2020.

Starting in early May 2020, the image gained popularity both as a reaction image and a standalone meme; for example on May 10th, iFunny[4] user Tsoi reposted the image, with the post accumulating over 1,100 smiles in four months. On May 18th, 2020, Twitter[5] user @jwvtw used it as a reaction, gaining over 580 likes in four months. Prior to May 20th, an unknown user posted[6] a dubbed version of the meme, which aslo received spread on Twitter and other sites (shown below).



The format did not see further spread until on August 15th, 2020, Twitter[7] user @WaffulSyrup posted a Wario dub of the meme. The post received over 1,200 retweets, 5,100 likes and 39,200 views in three weeks (shown below).

Later on August 15th, 2020, Twitter[8] user @KiraIsSolid posted a dubbed edit which used @WaffulSyrup's dub, with the post gaining over 1,200 retweets, 4,400 likes and 39,200 views (shown below).

Both the dub video and the edit received viral spread online in the following days, with multiple reposts on iFunny, Instagram and YouTube. Following the posts, multiple users on Twitter and Instagram posted dubbed memes in which various characters read the copypasta; for example, an August 18th Team Fortress 2 version of the meme by Twitter[9] user @skurletonVA received over 4,500 retweets, 16,200 likes and 110,300 views in two weeks; an August 19th Duke Nukem meme by Twitter user[10] @GetGianni received over 4,700 retweets, 17,900 likes and 136,900 views in the same period.
