Well, it seems Lich has received a lukewarm welcome return from a number of users. I have been basically occupying his role as a lewdposter during his absence. It's as though I was filling the void for those who actually liked him even after his intensional ban. Now that Lich is back, the galleries could be seeing a resurgence of quality pics. Though, he said that he grew bored of uploading.

I don't even dislike Liche as much as you think I do, I just think something like this is utter nonsense. He's getting special treatment for being friends with mods and acting smug about it. He broke a big cardinal rule and anyone else under this situation wouldn't have been given such a lax punishment. It's basically a slap on the wrist. I wish things were taken more seriously.

We unbanned nerds before if we believe enough time has passed and they give off enough of a vibe that they deserve the chance. Some ruined this chance, others took it to improve.

I had no vote in the unban but knowing how his ban was based on a one-time hissy fit ban attempt with no similar prior suspensions, it's understandable.

Well as someone who has no real bearing on this because I don't know Lich in the least… on one hand, it was kind of a big rule broken but on the other he didn't immediately go to Twitter to start badmouthing the entire site and then for some reason sign up on ED to try and start a fight between both places.
Which I understand is a common reaction to being banned.
And yes, seemed more like a bad moment than a real, consistent pattern of dickery so as far as that doesn't happen again I'm not opposed. Not that it matters but eh.

Bans can happen over a large string of minor offenses, or just one cardinal offense; the results are the same in the end. But so is the case with unbans

Bans are like the Shawshank Redemption: They can be reevaluated.

I'm looking at the ban, who the user was before in contributions, what they did up until the ban, and if they remained a pain in the ass after the ban (through for example alts); not at the person and if I like them or not. Wyn and Arcanine kept making alts, Liche only tried to get banned out of spite with no prior or post offenses. The cases can't be more opposite so why people are even bringing them up is beyond me.

I just stopped playin' WoW and we just stopped talkin'. Nothin' wrong with that. We just get busy and such.
