I do get that hyperbolic slogans like "defund the police" and "abolish the police" are easier attention-grabbers, but with how often they get misinterpreted, it's worth rethinking the slogans to better convey the intended message without needing to rely on comics like these to actually explain them. I've heard people have better success using "reallocate the police" when discussing the matter with conservative and moderate peers, for instance.
IF i am interpreting this correctly, they believe moving all of that stuff around will free up police be better able to respond to violent crimes and theft, while other services deal with things that would normally fall to police.
