Overview

IShowSpeed Norway Mob Attack refers to an incident involving the streamer IShowSpeed in which he was attacked by fans in Norway as he attempted to flee the scene in July 2024. After the events, Speed was left with an injured ankle and vowed never to return to the country. Several videos showing different angles of the mob attack went viral on social media, predominantly on TikTok and X / Twitter.

Background

On July 3rd, 2024, YouTuber and streamer IShowSpeed livestreamed[1] his passage through Norway as part of his tour throughout Europe for the 2024 Euro Football Championship. At a particular moment of the stream, Speed was broadcasting from inside a souvenir shop in Oslo and noticed a hoard of fans gathering in front of the store. At 1:29,39, the stream was carried by a security guard to leave the shop but was met with a mob of fans (seen below). The video amassed over 2.5 million views and 99,000 likes in a few hours.



Shortly after the incident, Speed tweeted[2] "NEVER COMING TO FUCKING NORWAY AGAIN," which amassed more than 150,000 likes and 5,400 reposts in a few hours. (seen below)

Online Reactions

Many internet users shared clips and jokes about Speed's fan-mob attack in Norway. For instance, on July 3rd, 2024, X[3] page @SpeedUpdates1 shared a picture of the streamer being attacked (seen below, left), which amassed more than 3,300 likes and 111 reposts. On the same day, X[4] user @JuiceWRLDsGUN posted a still image from the stream showing Speed doing Cristiano Ronaldo's "Siu" goal pose, captioning it as "Insane pic tho." The post (seen below, right) received roughly 6,200 likes and 44 reposts in a few hours.

Clips of Speed's stream also went viral on TikTok, like tripleew3[5] post on July 3rd showing the streamer calling the police asking for help. The video (seen below, left) received more than 1.9 million plays and 157,000 likes in a few hours. On the same day, TikTok user @tiiiiibsjrob[6] shared a video showing the moment the streamer got attacked by his fans (seen below, right), which amassed roughly 68 likes in a few hours.
