YES. I get that Junichi Masuda and the rest of Gamefreak are working hard on a game. I respect that and hope they're doing alright and whatnot HOWEVER! This DOES NOT exuse that Pokemon Sword and Shield are dropping a feature that has been in EVERY MAINLINE SERIES POKEMON GAME. It DOES NOT EXCUSE the fact that Gamefreak LIED BY OMMISION during their reveal on Pokemon Home's ability to transfer all old Pokemon to newer games. It DOES NOT automatically make the subpar appearence of the "okay" graphically Critisism IS NOT Harrassment. And Critisism IS NOT being a "Spoiled Brat" YES. There are toxic people in #BringBackNationalDex. Pokemon has a huge fandom; so the possibility of encountering such jerks is pretty high. But for the most part we are fans concerned for the series future and Gamefreak's inability to use their sources to make a better product. In interviews it was stated multiple times that Gamefreak were having difficulty figuring out how to program their games on the Switch console. Gamefreak is in control OF THE LARGEST BILLION DOLLAR FRANCHISE IN EXISTENCE Instead of overworking themselves on a game that is not polished and has features nessisary, they could have used their resources to hire developers to assist them with this undertaking. This way we wouldn't have to worry about the health of some of the companies most prominent figures. Also remember that Gamefreak IS NOTORIOUS for REMOVING FEATURES that made the Pokemon experience good. No Battle Frontier because it would "frustrate players" despite the veteran fans wanting a challenge. How about that removal of the ability to select difficulty levels? Remember Mega Evolutions and Z Moves? Anyone here still ticked off about the Dexnav being taken away? Gamefreak and The Pokemon Company are acting like your typical buissness. Thus as typical consumers we have the right to be honest with how we feel about the games and media they produce. I'm not going to lie here either. While I know that there is vitriol of both sides, the immaturity of some Pokemon fans and even Poketubers toward #BringBackNationalDex is nuts. You may love the series and it may be how you primarily get your income is you make videos about it. But people being "negative or ""entitled to you are people coming to the conclusion that something might not be as great as your personal hype makes it out to be. Arceus forbid people have a different opinion that you don't like or you think is wrong. If you want a game that's looking to be subpar due to some reveals in the NationalDex tag about the graphics/programming/and whatnot, have at it. But don't expect all Pokemon fans to cater to your shockingly ability to cling to your fave billion dollar franchise like static wool on the back of a Mareep Every Pokémon deserves to be in #BRINGBACK sword and shield NATIONALDEX

That is funny that only Pokemon seems to get this. Other game franchises like Final Fantasy, Sonic and Resident Evil have done similar bad decisions (and worse) and fans rallying up to complain about them is usually received well within the fandom itself, with disagreement being the worst thing to happen and the company actually listening and fixing the mistake being the best. The same thing is done for Pokemon and it suddenly looks like an average talk about politics: one half is seen as a cock-sucking apologist for a global tragedy and the other as a triggered swarm of manbabies, and nothing gets done. As a Sonic fan, it is pretty surreal for me to see a fandom in even more unrest and civil war than us.

That's because every Pokémon game is supposed to be connected to eachother – people still have Pokémon that date from the GBA eras and play with them, and Sword/Shield will prevent a lot of people from continuing the adventure with their favorites.

FF, Sonic, RE fandom is not affected because the games are not connected to eachother in the same way. They're for the most part standalone experience which do not carry over things you got in older games.
