If the guy on the left had a handgun, that would be more than adequate to protect himself. In fact there are things less than a handgun that would still be adequate. But no, taking assault rifles away from homeowners means instantly they will be outgunned by AR-wielding thugs. Thugs armed well enough to rob banks, coming to your living room, because people listened to teenagers on TV.

Yeah. Because this is totally something that happens in countries without guns.
