The semi-meme fad of the "x was Acceptable in the 80's.xvEEßd " has grown ever since its first version, notably named 'GTA Was acceptable in the 80's.xvEEßd', was created.
But despite its originality and popularity of this video (originally created by omniputance), it would be it's video response, 'Smoking weed was acceptable in the 80's.xvEEßd' that would take all the credit for this sub-fad: to the point that it outnumbered in Likes and Views the original video.
Ever since people recognized this video as potential fad/meme, numerous people has submitted a video response to this video imitating its style and length in all sorts of way.
From MLP to TF2, the fad is growing steadily and quickly.
The Fad consist at taking a source of some sort, quickly edit the visuals and audio to imitate the background song: Acceptable in the 80's by Calvin Harris.
It is also followed by naming the video by inserting a noun or a verb (presented as x) into '…Was acceptable in the 80's', followed by the coding of '.xvEEßd'.
As an example:
Fighting Was acceptable in the 80's.xvEEßd
Smoking weed Was acceptable in the 80's.xvEEßd
And Etc.
Quick Edit:
The videos that are presented as a Video Response and the Sauce itself appears to all have some sort of repeat black magic, which is part of the fad itself.
