Lugia's Song or The Song Has Restored My Strength refers to a series of video remixes and reaction images taken from Pokémon: The Movie 2000 about a piece of music or sound which revitalizes the listener.

Origin

The Image template and video clip both come from the Pokémon: The Movie 2000 from 1999. In the story the playing of an ocarina saves the legendary Pokémon Lugia, after which he says, "the song has restored my strength" (song shown below).



Spread

The first mention online of the scene was on July 13th, 2012 when Tumblr user Trendie uploaded a dubbed version of the scene with DJ Assualts "Ass N Titties" on the July. It was subsequently reuploaded to YouTube on January 12th, 2013 (shown below). Another edit by Harrison Tim was posted April 16th, 2017 (shown below, right).



On July 24th, 2016, a screenshot of the scene was posted to Twitter by user @sethboyle123,[1] gaining over 20 retweets and 30 likes (shown below, left). From there it spread to other social media sites, most notably Twitter and Reddit. There, it has been used for various music genres as well as people making noise during foreplay. For example, one of the most popular tweets with the format was an April 7th, 2018 tweet by user @andywarhella (shown below, right).

This tweet is the most well known use of image to date was most Lugias song memes are from after this tweet. the Tweet itself was been screenshotted and been spread as an image macro with the tweets text multiple times and has been seen on Imgur as well as other social media. this tweet was probably a response to Zach Byrd who, on the 2nd of April (5 days prior to Andywarhellas Tweet), tweeted this
