While the exact origin of the copypasta is unknown, it has been used on TikTok at least since July 6th, 2024. Two versions of the copypasta have been circulated on the platform with slight variations to the beginning of the comment (screenshots and transcripts seen below).

On July 6th, Redditor GrowthAffectionate42 then posted the copypasta to the /r/copypasta^[1] subreddit, with the post gaining over 110 upvotes in three days.

The viral popularity of the comment was followed by reaction videos on TikTok. For example, on July 8th, 2024, TikTok^[2] user @jaydensalaam posted a video about the spam comment that received over 142,000 views and 22,000 likes in one day (shown below, left).
