A new TikTok trend is sweeping the internet in which fans of Five Nights at Freddy's (FNAF) are stealing the cardboard cutouts, posters and displays from their local movie theaters that promote the 2023 Five Nights at Freddy's movie.

The FNAF movie cutouts are elaborate and well-designed. So, of course, fans of the video game franchise want to take them. What else could complete the perfect "man cave" other than a life-sized cutout of Freddy Fazbear?

Where Did The 'Stealing FNAF Movie Cutouts' Trend Start?

A couple of weeks ago, a few viral videos were posted that joked about stealing the cardboard display cutouts for the Five Nights at Freddy's movie which was set to release in late October 2023. The memes posed an interesting idea that stuck with people, as is evident in the later thievery.

In the United States, the FNAF movie was set to release on October 27th, 2023. However, in Mexico, South America and some European countries, the movie was released as early as October 25th.

In turn, on Wednesday, specifically Mexican fans of the film were caught on camera running out of theaters and malls with the large display cutouts. In the videos, they were often being chased by security guards and employees who were trying to stop them. Despite their best efforts, a lot of the thieves seemed to get away with it.
