If I'm sublicensing my golden goose IP, I'm sure as hell making sure they aren't devaluating my assets since I'm still responsible by association.

There's a reason why Nintendo does not acknowledge the CD-i games – And another reason why they didn't try to stop them but that's an entirely different can of worms.

i mean, that would be the pokemon company's job. gamefreak just creates the mainline pokemon games
