#GamerGate: The Truth 1,000's of Female Gamers in #NotYou「Shield 10,000's Pages of Forum Posts Dedicated to Discussing Corruption 1,200,000 Tweets This Past Month Dedicated to Our Cause 2,500,000 Tweets Since #Gamergate Began The media is currently covering #GamerGate with a growing false narrative in an attempt to label it as a "hate group." There are millions of posts of civil discussion on the corruption in gaming journalism right now; on public forums. In these communities there is absolutely zero tolerance for harassment, written in the rules plain and simple, instantaneously ban-able. MSNBC has helped propagate a lie. After many of these gaming journalists had evidence of corrupt behavior surface they became hostile and started insulting their fans and consumer base, creating the "Gamers are Dead" articles, 14 of which were released within 24 hours from separate sites. With their integrity in question they started spinning a story about #GamerGate to avoid criticism for their own poor ethics. Could 2.5 million tweets and pages upon pages of posting about concerns with the gaming industry really all be dedicated to facilitating harassment? All while using public forums anyone can access where harassment is clearly outlawed? We're all just p----- off gamers, consumers who have been betrayed by media in the industry we love. I've been part of #GamerGate since day one, and I've never seen anyone from our group support any form of harassment. Thank you for your time I'm a female gamer, I am NOT your shield. I am proudly part of #GamerGate.
