I generally think Unalaq's been pretty subtle as a villain all things considered, but I lost my shit at this part. I mean, why was he even sitting there in the middle of the night doing nothing? WHO WAS HE WAITING FOR?

Well, lighting is done with fire, and we can't have that. Electric lighting is no good either since firebenders also use lightning.
