Yeah, thinking on it, it's weird how Dreamworks spent like 11 years making a sequel to a decent Shrek spinoff and what they put out ends up a masterpiece and the best animated movies year if not of the decade. Meanwhile Disney's big 100th anniversary movie is a half baked mess that feels phoned in.

Puss in Boots: The Last Wish is seriously pretty much everything Wish should have been.

There was at one point going to be a crossover movie, I think it was called The Search for Mickey Mouse. It was going to be about Mickey going missing, so Minnie, Donald, Goofy and the rest go on a big glove trotting adventure to find him with help from the Great Mouse Detective himself, Basil of Baker Street. It was going to feature at least a cameo from a character from every single animated movie Disney had put out. It was eventually cancelled sometime in the 2000's when the writers had trouble coming up with a satisfactory script, or an organic way to cram in characters from so many movies without coming off as forced or just having them be in the background.

I'm curious how CGI characters like Aladar from Dinosaur, Lewis and Wilbur from Meet the Robinsons, or maybe even the Pixar characters and Nightmare Before Christmas/James and the Giant Peach, Roger and Jessica Rabbit, the tv shows like Gargoyles, Kim Possible, etc… would have been incorporated into the cast.

It was apparently cancelled sometime in the early 2000's, and the Three Musketeers movie was made instead, as Disney still felt like they needed to make a Mickey Mouse movie to keep the character relevant. It was supposed to be the 50th in the animated film line-up, but Tangled took it's place.

Honestly, it would have been amazing if they did that as the big 100th anniversary project.
