I knew a guy who was both pro- and anti-euthanasia. His stance was that people should be able to choose a humanely administered death over slow and terminal suffering… but no authority could ever be trusted to regulate a system for it.
Back in my college ethics course, we discussed euthanasia and mandatory organ donations. This is exactly the point made on why you shouldn't give the government financial incentive to kill people.
