If TL;DR, the post is basically saying that our economy, media, and political views are produced by autonomous mathematical loops, not AI, that have in essence replaced Religion as the cultural keystone. Because of this, people are going crazy because they don't have anything divine or "good" to latch onto as an obsession, creating tribalistic camps of fanatics who are fed by their own non-intelligent loop. Basically, we're fucked, and we can't really do anything about it because removing the loops will cause an accelerated societal collapse
