Tom Wolf said in reaction to the shooting and all the mass shootings that have happened "this is not who we are." He's right – instead who we are is a populace that sees yet another mentally ill man kill innocent people and the first thing we bring up is not the issues our country has with mental health, or gun control, or security, but instead which side of the political spectrum it makes look stupid.

It's funny, people give our government (regardless of which party holds power) shit about being ineffectual and slow to act, when the reality is that it is only a reflection of what the average American voter has become themselves: so concerned about the other side governing that they forget that the actual purpose of governance.
