Pretty much every criticism the writer made was a criticism about comic books. "There's too many characters with various backstories, new viewers won't be able to keep up!" Yeah, they do that in comic books. "The characters' deaths lose impact because we know they will likely be resurrected later!" Again, that's a comic book thing. Basically, he doesn't like the movie because it does a good job adapting the feel of a comic book to the big screen. He doesn't like that a movie about comic book heroes, meant to appeal to comic book fans, successful creates the feel of a comic book story. It's like complaining that a horror movie is scary, or a comedy tries to make the audience laugh.
