Tracer's Pose Controversy - In a Nutshell

You're right, it wasn't a pressured change. It was just one person complaining about it. Which is why it's a completely fucking stupid change.

Here's the thing right? It's not even that the change occurred. Or even the hand waves PR speak that came up after the fact to try and assure fans that this was something that was going to be changed anyways. It's the basis given for why it was a win win to go ahead and make the change on the back of the feedback given.

Because the character wears tight pants, the pose was considered overly sexual.

And you know what? She still is wearing tight pants. When you play as that character from a 3rd person perspective, her rounded chicks are still going to be the foremost thing in your vision. But since she will no longer have a POSE that emphasizes this fact, somehow the worlds been made just a little bit better for women everywhere. Do you see how that is condescending? Do you see how that is cardboard chewing stupid to think that somehow an over the shoulder pose is problematic compared to ALL OF THE OTHER THINGS IN THE WORLD that are horribly wrong? It's how stupid the circumstances of this change is perceived to be that has people rightfully pissed off, not that it occurred at all.
